Female to Male Reflection
I found this passage very interesting as it made me question the biological and anatomic factors that sway many cultures to believe males are completely dominant. There is a certain level of truth to how naturally males are born stronger than females, but to what extent should that influence the value of women in our society? I believe humans innately determine who is the most relevant to their environment by their physical ability. Even as the times change and intellectual performance becomes more vital in deciding an individual's importance, it is more of a forced conscience decision than looking only at a person's strength. We converse and debate on how intelligence should be deemed more important, and we start to improve in that way of thinking, but the foundation of male and female comparison did not involve that intelligence. Basically, it takes more of an effort from most people to think of males and females as equal, where as placing dominance to males is more natural. This is not to discredit us as a civilization, but we have centuries more practice in believing males are dominant than anything else. Slowly over time I believe this will change.

Innately suggests there is an inborn quality in humans that determines who is most relevant to their environment by their physical ability - is that what you mean? That's interesting- the idea that equality between men and women "takes more effort"- why, do you think, is this so? If men are dominant yet do not want to invest their intellectual capacity to work for equality, does that mean they are lazy or just greedy and do not want to share power?
