In this story we are able to see the abbuse that a women named Delia encounters. Not only is she always being treated wrongly , her husband has no respect or pitty towards his own wife. Also he disrespect his wife in the most degratting way and he does this by cheating on her . Completly disreguarding her feeling through the story. However i believe Delia finaly open her eyes and attemted to better herself slowly , but it was progress.

    Is cheating the most disrespectfully degrading thing Sykes does to Delia? Can you explain where and how Delia "opens her eyes and attempt[s] to better herself slowly, but it was a progress"?
