My Life had Stood-a Loaded Gun
The object of choice here is a Gun owned by a "master". Speaking of the journey they go through together and how the gun protects the man. Anybody who is a foe to the man is a deadlier foe against the gun as they have raw power. I like the 5th stanza which explains not only is the gun a deadly foe but that its so quick combined with the man that there is no second chance, after the first time your gone for the count. I do not really understand what " On whom i lay a yellow eye" on meant but if i had to guess i think it means an example like an Eagle, once they see you and set their gaze upon you there is no hope left for you

Who/what is the speaker in the poem? Can you determine the speaker's gender? Is it an equal relationship between the 'master' and the speaker?
ReplyDeleteI like your interpretation on line 5, but why do you think the eye is yellow?
